Dear Victoria, a 20 m² jewellery store in Nişantaşı, designed after a jewellery box: wooden doors that open like a lid, velvet-lined niches and numbered drawers.

The jewellery box idea

Designed for Dear Victoria in Nişantaşı, this 20 m² jewellery store takes its cue from a jewellery box. The small floor area becomes the experience of moving through one, with doors that open like a lid, numbered drawers and velvet-lined compartments.

The brand and the space

Dear Victoria tells the story of a bond between past and present through handmade jewellery that gains meaning over time and accompanies personal memories. The store carries this idea into space: a box where pieces are kept and, over time, become part of a personal story. References to the past, such as a gilded mirror, framed paintings and velvet surfaces, sit alongside a contemporary arrangement of display cases and drawers.

Façade and entrance

The navy lacquered façade works as a shop window together with a large image panel wrapping the corner, with an illuminated sign above the entrance. A black marble threshold and a geometric patterned floor introduce the character of the interior from the first step.

Doors, niches and drawers

On the main wall, two large wooden doors are composed like the open lid of a jewellery box. Framed niches set into the doors display the pieces like paintings, and in front of the central mirror stands a cabinet of numbered drawers with a metallic finish. Navy velvet-lined display compartments and numbered drawers beneath the counter bring display and storage together in a single arrangement.

Materials and atmosphere

Burgundy velvet curtains, a wall panel with a crane and pine motif, upholstered seating in a patterned fabric and a small gallery wall give the store the feel of a reception room. A seating corner set aside within the limited space creates a calm area for one-to-one attention.
